Overview

The Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers provides an ideal framework for anyone preparing for, or developing, their teaching or training role, whether they are full or part-time, new to the job or already in teaching and wishing to enhance and update skills and knowledge.

 

Aim

To assess a student’s competence in developing and delivering a range of learning and development activities.

 

Objectives

Students are able to:

  • achieve international benchmark of excellence in teaching
  • introduce curriculum development successfully
  • improve quality and outcome of the teaching activities

Course Content

Design: Planning and preparing appropriate learning programmes and learning sessions

Practice: Facilitating active learning and learner involvement

Assessment: Assessing learners’ progress and achievement

Evaluation: Improving teaching and learning

 

The programme also provides transferable skills that can be used in any subject area or level of education and covers a range of different teaching and learning styles applicable to different learning needs. The course contains lectures, tutorials, forum discussion, classroom practice & assignments.

 

Course Duration

The course is conducted over a 6 months period on a part-time study. Students meet 2 sessions per week for 4 hours per session.

 

Mode of Delivery

Sessions include blended learning of face-to-face lectures, classroom discussion/ participation, online forum discussion, hands-on training activities and peer teaching practice.

 

Assessment

The performance of the candidates, in the 4 modules, would be on an assignment-based assessment by the University of Cambridge International Examinations.

Certification

The performance of the students is based on assignment-based assessment. Upon completion of the 4 modules with a Pass grade or above, successful candidates will be awarded the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers, validated by the University of Cambridge International Examinations, U.K.

  • Minimum 3 "O" levels with credit in English

  • Any other recognised Certification, Diploma or Degree

  • Mature candidates by interview and approval from the college

  • Currently involved in any form of teaching or training activities

The diploma will equip you with transferable skills, including excellent problem solving, communication and organisational skills.
